A few more thoughts I pondered while browsing the official site again, because what I had read there a month (or even more?) ago had somewhat slipped out of my mind…

I have to decide on a profession too, that is, so…

Smuggler: Would be my choice, I admit. I kinda like the concept, the name alone already gives me interesting ideas, and I think it could provide me with several interesting roads to follow when it’s coming to what’s been already discussed about the Azu’kai… Not mentioning the fact that it may be quite close to what the Fixer profession is, and everybody knows how much I like Fixers. Idea defintiely kept in store!.

Bounty Hunter: Another choice I have in mind. I played one in SW original RPG… heh, that was still at the d6 time, even… and I remember having liked it a lot. I do however know myself and my, errm, let’s say, ‘talents’ in whatever looks like PvP… which makes me fear a little about what could come out of such an experiment. Not that I’m a complete moron when it comes to fighting tactics in a game, but being definitely a roleplayer more than a player, I honestly doubt that I’d have the patience to run after equipment and such. Nevertheless, I’m keeping this idea too, because, after all, I don’t know yet how things will turn out… and all in all, I love the roleplaying side of the profession, so I certainly won’t discard it for such a trivial reason, huh!
Note for further reference: NOT turn into another Catherine!

Combat Engineer: Something else that, to me, would be worth a try. I like the idea of a char knowing her way through weaponry, but not completely unable when it comes to actually wield said weapons. Moreover, maybe I’m too entrenched within old table-top RPG reflexes, but I always think that ‘support’ chars are indeed useful. Heh, after all, when the Mighty Warrior’s sword is broken, here comes the need for someone to repair it. But – and this is going to be a big but – I want to see what this profession is able to do first. I just hope it won’t turn out as these poor Engineers… although, from a pure RP point of view, I honestly don’t care about ‘game mechanics limitations’. Boundless power to imagination!

I’ll still have to ponder these professions, and more than once, but I think I can consider for the moment that my choice will very likely be one of these three.

To be continued…
